Optigep's main product is a sunflower harvester, which has completely conquered the Hungarian agricultural market thanks to its high performance and reliability. In addition, the company pays great attention to fast and high-quality service and stable supply of spare parts.
Several patents have been granted in the course of the reapers' development. The design of the reapers was based on the results of laboratory and field tests conducted by the FVMMI GM Kht. Together with the institute, we have developed a harvester with a stalk chopper - a sunflower harvester with a PSM type chopper, the design of which is unique. This header was awarded a Diploma for new technology at the AGROSALON exhibition in Nitra, Slovakia. The OptiSun sunflower harvesters are already in operation in Romania and Slovakia, where they are the best-selling harvesters, as well as in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, France, Moldova and the United States.
In 2007, the company developed the OptiCorn corn harvester. In addition to Hungary, these harvesters are now in operation in Romania, Slovakia, Russia and the United States.

The main feature of OptiCorn Premium cutterbars is the fact that all components (frame, auger, beds, gearbox housings) are made of a combination of aluminum and stainless steel, resulting in low weight. As a result, the cutterbar has less load on the combine's inclined conveyor and has a positive effect on the axle load, reducing the damage caused by "trampling" of the soil. This makes harvesting on soft soil in rainy weather possible. And most importantly, fuel consumption is reduced. The materials used resist corrosion, so the cutterbars will withstand environmental influences and retain their aesthetic appearance for a long time. Side trim elements and dividers are made of plastic by rotational molding technology. The use of plastic also reduces the weight of the cutterbar and contributes to the aesthetic appearance. Drive system The drive system gearboxes with aluminum alloy housing replace the chain drives.
The drive system was developed jointly by Optigep Sp. z o.o. and the German company GKN Walterscheid GmbH and ensures reliable operation of the cutterbar. The cutterbar is driven from the tilting chamber by means of a cardan shaft. The main side drive of the cutterbar is an angular gear, the speed of which is calculated based on the speed of the inclined chamber of the combine harvester specified in the order. The position of the angular drive can be set according to the requirements of the harvester's inclined chamber. In this way the cutterbars can be adapted to any combine harvester. After the second angular gearbox, the drive system is equipped with 1-1 gearboxes, which can be used to reduce or increase the speed of the cutterbar units by 5%, depending on the harvesting conditions. The speed reduction or speed increase gearboxes are connected to the channel gearboxes. The channel gearboxes and the speed reduction or speed increase gearboxes are connected by Walterscheid cardan intermediate shafts, the advantage of which is flexibilty and long service life. Each channel is protected against overloading by a Walterscheid overrunning clutch. The auger is driven by a spur gearbox. The auger is protected against overloading by a Walterscheid overrunning clutch; The entire cutterbar drive system is closed-loop, the gearboxes have oil baths with special seals to prevent contaminants from entering the system. The drive system is therefore maintenance-free during the harvesting season.
