YouTube channel Young Farmer Visited Bas-Agro LLC
The YouTube channel “Young Farmer” is well-known among viewers for its engaging videos on agriculture, innovative farming techniques, and farm life. Recently, the channel’s host, Andrii, traveled about 100 kilometers north from his home to visit Bas-Agro LLC. This trip gave him the opportunity not only to showcase modern agricultural spare parts production, but also to highlight how field conditions can differ compared to his own region.
According to Andrii, as soon as he drove roughly 100 kilometers north, he noticed that the soil was much drier and firmer, which means farmers in that area can start closing moisture with harrows or chain harrows earlier. The temperature in the car was around +6 degrees Celsius, although he could feel a piercing wind coming from the fields. Compared to the conditions he is used to, Andrii was surprised to see that spring agricultural work could begin sooner in this location.
On his way to Bas-Agro, Andrii paid attention to the roads. In some sections, the asphalt was patched or completely replaced, while other areas still had potholes. However, what impressed him most was the cleanliness of the roadsides: mowed grass, no trash or bottles—nothing like the usual litter found in other regions. The contrast was especially striking as he passed through pine and birch forests, which looked well-maintained and tidy.
Upon arriving in Cherkasy, the vlogger immediately noted a typical big-city problem: traffic jams and numerous traffic lights. The roads were extremely busy, as it was about 8 a.m. and most people were on their way to work. Despite the congestion, Andrii successfully reached the Bas-Agro facility, where the company’s director, Serhii Viktorovych, was waiting for him. Together, they toured the workshops and warehouses to show the viewers how high-quality agricultural spare parts are produced.
A video on the YouTube channel “Young Farmer” - “You have a Kuhn seeder, others, or maybe combines with a Fantini, Geringhoff, and other combines, you can use them.”
According to Serhii Viktorovych, Bas-Agro specializes in manufacturing and supplying parts for various types of equipment: seed drills Gaspardo, Kverneland, Kuhn, John Deere, Monosem, Horsch, etc., headers Oros, Capello, Geringhoff, Fantini, Olimac, among others, spreaders of mineral and organic fertilizers, as well as combines. Their production covers a wide range: blades for spreaders, sprockets, bushings, gearboxes, seed tanks, metal and rubber components. Some are fully developed and manufactured in-house, while others are procured from trusted partners. The company’s particular point of pride is that it produces about 3,400 types of spare parts, supplying not only Ukrainian farmers but also exporting to the European market.
During the tour, Andrii observed a workshop where freshly painted parts are delivered from specialized painting booths to the warehouse. There, they are sorted, quality-checked, and prepared for shipping to customers. The director emphasized that before starting serial production of any new part, they conduct rigorous material checks (chemical or spectral analysis) to ensure maximum compliance with original technologies and specifications. This allows Bas-Agro to maintain high-quality standards while offering competitive prices.
Aside from standard products, the company also fulfills custom orders. For example, if a farmer needs to alter the design of spreader blades or reinforce specific components of a seed drill, Bas-Agro’s engineers can develop and manufacture a custom modification. Such an approach is particularly relevant for large-scale farms or those operating in challenging conditions, where parts wear out faster.
Bas-Agro’s service department also deserves special mention. The company carries out professional repair of header gearboxes: from complete disassembly and defect inspection to sourcing the necessary parts, final assembly, and post-repair testing. This ensures that clients receive a fully operational unit with a quality guarantee, ready for the season. Moreover, Bas-Agro actively collaborates with other manufacturers by supplying them with components for assembling complex mechanisms.
At the end of the visit, Serhii Viktorovych invited farmers and anyone interested to visit the company in Cherkasy. He emphasized that Bas-Agro welcomes feedback from customers, as it helps improve production processes and launch new products that fully meet the needs of modern agriculture. Andrii noted that he gained a wealth of valuable information by witnessing the manufacturing process firsthand and became convinced that Ukraine has powerful enterprises capable of providing farmers with high-quality spare parts at an affordable price.
Thus, the “Young Farmer” channel’s visit to Bas-Agro LLC vividly demonstrated the importance of developing domestic production of agricultural machinery and components. In addition to modernizing facilities and improving product quality, such meetings help popularize Ukrainian agribusiness. Viewers learned how technological solutions are implemented in practice and saw that, even in challenging economic and climatic conditions, Ukrainian companies can continue to grow steadily and enter international markets. This strengthens confidence in the prospects for domestic agriculture and proves that collaboration between farmers, manufacturers, and bloggers fosters knowledge exchange and promotes cutting-edge farming technologies.
