Tractor of the Year 2026 Finalists: the complete list & what matters to Ukrainian growers

Tractor of the Year (TOTY) has released the long list of 2026 finalists. This season, 19 tractors from 15 brands compete across six categories — from high-horsepower machines to specialized orchard/vineyard units and autonomous “bots” in the TOTYBot class. Winners will be announced on 9 November 2025 at AGRITECHNICA in Hanover.

TOTY 2026 categories: how entries are grouped

The organizers confirmed the updated category grid and criteria:

TOTY HighPower — tractors above 300 hp

TOTY MidPower — 150–280 hp

TOTY Utility — 70–150 hp, up to 4-cylinder engines, max. permissible weight up to 10 t

TOTY Specialized — machines for orchards, vineyards, mountain slopes (above 40 hp)

TOTYBot — autonomous tractors without a cab, featuring three-point hitch and PTO/electric implement drive (TRL ≥ 8)

Sustainable TOTY — a green distinction awarded to five tractors shortlisted from other categories.

The jury is composed of independent agricultural journalists from European outlets evaluating machines in real field conditions.

Why this shortlist matters for Ukrainian farms

Investment compass. Power-band grouping helps narrow options for typical operations — from draft work (High/MidPower) to mixed-farm duties (Utility) and orchard/vineyard tasks (Specialized).

Efficiency trendline. Sustainable TOTY highlights lower fuel burn and reduced environmental cost per hectare.

Automation readiness. TOTYBot signals which robotic platforms have reached practical readiness (TRL ≥ 8) and support standard implements via hitch/PTO.
