LEMKEN has completed the construction of a new plant in Dinteloord, the Netherlands. This facility will develop and manufacture crop protection equipment and create the LEMKEN Crop Care Competence Center. In addition, the plant has its own representative offices and the Agroforum exhibition area.
This is reported by the press service of LEMKEN.
It is noted that the total investment in the new facility amounted to 30 million euros. The main focus in Dinteloord is on the development and production of plant protection equipment. Also, the Crop Care Competence Center is being created here, which will become a platform for interaction between farmers, experts and scientists from around the world. For this purpose, the Agroforum exhibition space has been built, and a high-tech hall has been equipped to hold events and trainings in comfortable conditions.
The total area of the plant is about 49 thousand m², of which 11.8 thousand m² are currently under construction. Production and storage facilities occupy 9,000 m², and 800 m² are provided for product presentations at Agroforum.
“The new LEMKEN plant in Dinteloord is an example of innovation, efficiency and sustainability in the agricultural machinery industry. It will play a key role in meeting the future needs of our customers,” said Nicola Lemken, owner of the company.
“When designing the new facility, special attention was paid to sustainable development. The installed solar panels generate 300 kWh of electricity, which significantly contributes to the energy supply of the production. Other roofs are designed as green roofs for natural cooling of office space. Emphasis was also placed on the use of recyclable materials, including office furniture. Wooden beams were used for the building's frame, providing a light and natural environment both in Agroforum and in the production halls.

The production is divided into three zones: manufacturing and preparation of parts for painting, storage of finished parts and components from suppliers, and preliminary and final assembly of machinery.
The plant is adapted for stationary assembly and has eight assembly zones, with the possibility of expansion for the assembly of larger machines. Suspended crane beams provide maximum flexibility in production.
Each piece of equipment undergoes a final check at two equipped test stations, which guarantees its quality and functionality before leaving the factory.
