Ukraine's winter rapeseed harvest has started with a 15% yield increase compared to last year. According to Kurkul, five regions of the country - Dnipro, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Chernivtsi - have already started harvesting rapeseed. They have threshed 47.7 thousand hectares, which is 3% of the total area, and produced 86.2 thousand tons of seeds.

The average yield in Ukraine is currently 1.81 tons per hectare, which is 15% higher than at the same date last year.

Odesa region is a leader in rapeseed harvesting, having reached 52.2 thousand tons. At the same time, the highest yields were recorded in Kirovograd region, where the figure of 2.82 tons per hectare was reached.

It is also worth noting that as of July 6, harvesting of early grains and pulses has already started in 12 regions. 308.2 thousand hectares have been threshed, which is 3% of the total area, and 1.024 million tons of grain have been harvested with a yield of 3.32 tons per hectare.
