Ukraine Makes First 2025 Reimbursement Under 25% Agricultural Machinery Compensation Program
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has made the first 2025 payment under its 25% reimbursement program for domestically produced agricultural machinery. The total compensation amount reached UAH 126.6 million, paid to farmers for machinery purchased in December 2024 and January 2025.
Applications submitted for February and March will be processed and paid in April. According to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko, the wide geographical coverage and high number of applications indicate strong and stable demand for Ukrainian agricultural equipment. This, in turn, supports over a hundred machinery manufacturers across the country.
Compensation was granted for equipment produced by approximately 90 Ukrainian manufacturers included in the official list maintained by the Ministry of Economy. These include large factories as well as small and medium enterprises from various regions.
Top regions by amount of compensation:
- Khmelnytskyi region – UAH 15.6 million
- Mykolaiv – UAH 13.3 million
- Sumy – UAH 12.7 million
- Ternopil – UAH 9.7 million
- Odesa – UAH 9 million
In terms of machinery units purchased, the leaders are Khmelnytskyi (108 units), Poltava (90), Odesa (78), and Kirovohrad (75).
In 2024, a total of 5,311 units of machinery were purchased under the program, amounting to over UAH 4.2 billion. Of this, the state reimbursed nearly UAH 877 million.
How the compensation program works:
The 25% reimbursement applies to agricultural equipment that is at least 60% made from Ukrainian materials and components. Special terms apply for combines, tractors, self-propelled sprayers, and grain trucks. Farmers must choose equipment from the official Ministry of Economy list, make the purchase, and submit their reimbursement request through an authorized bank.
As of March 2025, the official list includes 11,910 items from 144 manufacturers. The list continues to grow, with 6 new manufacturers and 62 new items recently added.
Maintenance support by “Bas-Agro Group”
An important contributor to keeping agricultural machinery operational is the Ukrainian company "Bas-Agro Group". The firm expands its product range monthly, developing 15 to 40 new parts, helping farming enterprises maintain their machinery and ensure the smooth execution of agricultural tasks. You can buy spare parts for agricultural machinery on the website of Bas Agro LLC.
