The latest data from the Kyiv Oblast Agricultural Development Department shows good progress in harvesting and threshing of the new crop in the Kyiv region.

Increased yields

In total, we have already harvested crops on an area of more than 244.9 thousand hectares, from which we have threshed more than 1 million 201 thousand tons of new crop grain. These figures were made possible by increased yields and an improved approach to agricultural production.

One of the key success factors is the promotion of innovations in agriculture. Farmers in Kyiv region implement advanced technologies, using modern methods of tillage, fertilization and plant control. This allows them to achieve higher yields and high-quality grain.

Achievements in harvesting and threshing

Farmers in Kyiv region can be proud of their achievements in harvesting and threshing various crops. Grains and legumes, including wheat, barley, and peas, have already been threshed over a large area. Average yields of almost 54 centners per hectare confirm the high efficiency of farmers' work.

In particular, farmers in the Bila Tserkva district are particularly impressive. Their approach to growing winter barley and other crops allowed them to harvest 3,000 hectares. With a yield of 58 centners per hectare, this resulted in a harvest of over 17 thousand tons of grain. This puts them among the leaders in the region.

Of course, it's not just the new technology that's behind these impressive results, but also the hard work and dedication of farmers. Their ability to manage the processes of cultivation, tillage and plant care is a key factor in achieving impressive results.

Outlook and Future

In general, the total gross harvest of agricultural crops is expected to reach approximately 4500 thousand tons of grain. This is a huge volume that requires proper storage. For this purpose, about 60 elevators with a total capacity of 3000 thousand tons will be involved. This indicates that Kyiv region is improving not only cultivation but also infrastructure for further development of the agricultural sector.
