Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is the go-to solution when conventional milling or drilling simply can’t deliver: complex contours, non-standard holes, high material hardness, or thick workpieces. That’s exactly why we use an EDM machine - a precision technology that lets you manufacture parts where other methods become too risky, too expensive, or just impossible.
What our EDM machine can do
1) Machine free-form contours
Need a part with a complex profile, slots, radii, transitions, or a “shaped” perimeter? EDM allows machining contours of virtually any geometry while maintaining accuracy along the entire path. This is especially useful for:
custom mounts and machine components,
thin or intricate templates,
parts where repeatability matters in small or large batches.
2) Create holes of any shape - not just round
When you need a hole that’s “not like everyone else’s” - a custom profile, a slotted opening, or any non-circular internal geometry - EDM makes it possible to produce holes of virtually any shape to match your functional or fitment requirements.
3) Small holes from 1 mm
A major advantage that often makes the difference: the ability to produce small holes starting from 1 mm. This is critical for:
precision fitment and locating features,
small технологічні holes,
compact parts requiring “jewelry-level” geometry.
4) Cutting and machining thick sections
EDM is not only for thin parts. If you need to cut or form a contour in a thick workpiece, EDM is one of the most reliable ways to achieve the required geometry without unnecessary tool wear or risk to the material.
5) Work with hard metals
Hardened steels, wear-resistant alloys, and materials that quickly destroy cutting tools are standard jobs for EDM. If a part is difficult to machine with traditional methods, EDM often becomes the most precise and stable option.
