Kverneland Scales Up Production in France: Focus on Precision Farming and Innovative Solutions
Kverneland is investing in its factory in Le-Land-Genusson (France) to double the production capacity for both Kubota and Kverneland machines. The expansion includes acquiring an additional 17,605 m² of land, increasing the facility’s total area to 5.5 hectares. The production hall will be expanded from 13,200 m² to 20,000 m² and modernized with new welding, painting, assembly, and R&D facilities. Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) will be introduced, and two solar energy systems with a total capacity of 770 kW will be installed on the buildings and covered parking areas for employees. The plant expansion is expected to be completed by mid-2026, boosting the production capacity for larger machines such as the Qualidisc disc harrow and the Onyx cultivator.
Kverneland’s latest investments are driven by the growing demand for innovative precision farming solutions. Precision seeding technology helps farmers optimize costs and improve yield, prompting the company to focus on modernizing production processes and implementing digital systems. The Le-Land-Genusson plant plays a key role in Kverneland’s global strategy, as this is where the next generation of seed drills and planters are being developed in line with the “Farming 4.0” concept.
