Kuhn Starliner 630 — a New Rotary Hoe for Ultra-Fast Mechanical Weed Control

The global push to cut herbicide use is driving manufacturers to widen their mechanical weed-control toolkits. After ROWLINER inter-row cultivators and TINELINER tine harrows, Kuhn has rolled out the third pillar of its low-chemical lineup — the Starliner 630 rotary hoe with a 6.3-m working width.

Key Features of the Starliner 630

Each 180-mm spoon-shaped tooth is hardened and replaceable, so worn segments can be swapped in-field. Independent suspension lets the stars follow micro-relief while sparing the crop.

The Broader Kuhn Rotary Hoe Line-Up

For now, the Starliner 630 is the sole model in the new series, yet Kuhn literature hints at a Starliner 560 (5.6 m) and larger 7–9 m versions for tractors over 120 hp.

Starliner rounds out Kuhn’s mechanical-weeding trio:

• ROWLINER — 6-, 8- and 12-row cultivators with 70 cm clearance.
• TINELINER — 6-, 9- and 12-m tine harrows for early “blind” passes.

Together they deliver a full-season schedule from pre-emergence surface tillage to late-stage inter-row cultivation.
