Polyurethane suspension of the drawbar

Maintaining machine stability during operation is critical to achieving precision spraying. The METRIS 2 features four suspension levels to keep the machine stable and ensure perfect suspension condition on the road and in the field.

The suspension of the drawbar effectively protects the tractor and driver from any vibrations of the machine. When transported with the boom folded, all movements are absorbed, ensuring the highest level of stability.

Injection-molded polyethylene tank

The design of the METRIS 2's injection-molded polyester tank is a true masterpiece. With no compromises in material selection, this solution maximizes the sustainability and functionality of your machine.

Smooth surface

The new 3200 and 4100 liter injection-molded polyethylene tanks feature perfectly flat surfaces on the inside and outside. There is no porosity in the surface, which facilitates the rinsing off of any active product and contributes to the ease of cleaning the machine. The system is equipped with three rotary devices for effective cleaning, which can be activated from the control panel or from the cab.

Baffle

The injection-molded polyethylene tank has reflective baffles that stabilize the spray liquid during transportation. Fluctuations in the liquid are stopped instantly, ensuring the stability of the sprayer.

Aluminum booms: Lightweight and durable solution

The boom is made of aluminum, which is almost three times less dense than steel, providing lightweight construction and reliable protection for the sprayer. This material guarantees a long service life and is resistant to corrosion and chemical attack. Since 1986, KUHN has been successfully using aluminum to produce booms with a length of more than 18 meters.

Its natural resistance to corrosion makes aluminum booms ideal for use in contact with crop protection products and fertilizers. With a density 2.7 times less than steel, aluminum booms are stronger and lighter.

AUTOSPRAY system

KUHN's CCE system with individual nozzle shut-off allows you to optimize your field coverage by adjusting the number of active nozzles. This electrically controlled system is able to adapt to all sizes and shapes of fields to ensure optimum use of the working width. Using GPS signals, the nozzles are controlled precisely, minimizing overlap.

The CCE system also takes advantage of pneumatic continuous circulation to ensure instant filling and efficient opening and closing of the spray system. This increases productivity and maximizes the use of the sprayer tank volume.
