Kuhn DT — curved-leg deep tillers unveiled at Innov-Agri 2025
In early June, French manufacturer Kuhn chose Innov-Agri 2025 in Essigny-le-Grand (Picardy) as the stage to debut its DT-series sub-soilers with curved shanks. Designed for “pseudo-plough” tillage, the machines fracture the plough pan down to 60 cm while thoroughly mixing soil with crop residues — a perfect fit for minimum- and conservation-tillage systems.
Two lines to match field conditions and tractor power
Model | Working width | Recommended power | Depth | Frame clearance* |
---|---|---|---|---|
DT L 300 | 3 m | ≤ 230 hp | up to 50 cm | 780 mm (T) / 870 mm (NSH) |
DT XL 300 / 400 | 3 / 4 m | ≤ 400 hp | up to 60 cm | 920 mm (T) / 1000 mm (NSH) |
* distance from ground to frame underside; bracket indicates protection type.
Two rows of shanks create an S-shaped soil flow, preventing clods even in heavy residue.
Dual protection options
- Shear-bolt (T) — breakout force up to 3550 kg (L) or 4370 kg (XL);
- Hydraulic reset (NSH) — trip pressure 165–190 bar (tip force 1190–1670 kg).
The “blast” share is 350 mm wide, carries replaceable wings (2 positions) and a quick-change 70 mm point; a carbide version is available for abrasive soils.
Depth control and seedbed finish in a single pass
A hydraulically-adjustable twin packer sets depth on-the-go, lets the operator shift weight to the front or rear shaft, and widens the roller gap in stony fields. Bearings are mounted outside the dirt zone, so vegetation cannot wrap. The result: a level seedbed and firm surface to conserve moisture and secure uniform emergence. Folding side deflectors — mechanical or hydraulic — keep field edges neat.
Kuhn Group: from village forge to global leader
Kuhn’s story began in 1828 when blacksmith Joseph Kuhn started making scales. By 1864 the brand launched its first farm machine, and today it operates plants on three continents and a dealer network in 100+ countries. With 2 000+ patents and nearly two centuries of innovation, Kuhn stands among the top suppliers of tillage, seeding, forage and livestock equipment.
A natural fit for Ukrainian soils
Generous clearance, curved shanks and a broad power range make the DT series ideal for Ukrainian chernozems, where oilseed-rape stubble, maize residues and heavy soil loads often coincide. Kuhn’s local dealer network ensures fast service and genuine parts supply.
Where to source Kuhn seeder parts in Ukraine?
When your Kuhn drill needs a new seed disc, bearing or opener component, turn to Bas-Agro LLC. The company manufactures and supplies parts by OEM code or even from a sample, invaluable if factory deliveries are delayed.
