
Ukraine has completed the harvest, which lasted several months. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as of the third week of November, farmers have successfully completed the harvest in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. In total, as of November 24, 2023, the harvest amounted to 75.7 million tons of grains and oilseeds, which were harvested on an area of 10,237 thousand hectares.
In particular, the results of harvesting various crops are impressive. Wheat, which was harvested on an area of 4,694.5 thousand hectares, yielded a high harvest of 22,478 thousand tons, with a yield of 47.9 c/ha. Corn, which was planted on 3,325 thou hectares, yielded an incredible 24,878 thou tons at 74.8 c/ha. Barley, peas, buckwheat, millet and other cereals and pulses also proved to be successful, yielding significant amounts of product.
In the oilseeds sector, we achieved impressive results. Sunflower, planted on 5,009.4 thou hectares, yielded 11,929 thou tons of seeds with a yield of 23.8 c/ha. Soybeans and rapeseed were also highly productive, with the latter harvested on an area of 1,396 thou hectares and 4.5 mln tonnes of seeds harvested.
The sugar industry did not stand aside either. The sugar beet harvest, which is almost complete, showed impressive results - 11,083 thousand tons of sweet roots were dug on an area of 236.3 thousand hectares, with a yield of 469.1 c/ha.
Thus, thanks to the perseverance and professionalism of Ukrainian farmers, the country has an impressive harvest, which is an important factor for the development of the agricultural sector and overall economic growth.
