The parallelogram, which ensures stable depth guidance of the sowing section, is now made of hardened cast aluminum. This significantly reduces the weight of the structure, increasing its rigidity and ability to adapt to soil contours. This design allows for a more efficient distribution of the acting forces, which, in turn, increases the accuracy of seed placement.

Another innovation is the use of maintenance-free plastic bearings in the parallelogram, which reduces the need for maintenance and increases the reliability of the system. An important aspect is the central placement of the seeds in the row, which has become necessary due to the growing importance of mechanical weed control.

The new seed hopper is equipped with a lid that protects the seeds from dust and moisture. The lid closes tightly with a spring clip, which provides additional protection for the seeds in difficult conditions.

Interchangeable sowing coulter system

The new patented coulter exchange system allows for quick and easy coulter changes. To do this, only one screw needs to be unscrewed and the other completely removed, after which the coulter can be easily pulled down. This significantly reduces the workload on the operator and makes maintenance more convenient.

Advanced settings for the disc knives

The disc knife console can be adjusted to a height of 1 cm to extend the service life of the knives even when they are worn. The adjustment is accomplished in a few simple steps, making setup quick and easy.

Quick and tool-free adjustment

Thanks to the new frame and sowing section concept, the Matrix can be set up without the need for tools. This ensures convenient and fast setup, reducing machine downtime.

To provide easy access to the sowing sections with support wheels, they can be lifted and locked without tools, making maintenance and cleaning much easier.

The optional clod cleaners can be adjusted to six different heights using a simple mechanism with a safety pin. This allows the height of the cleaners to be individually adjusted for each row, which is a big advantage when field conditions change.

The coulter pressure can be adjusted in five different steps (30 kg each) between 0 and 120 kg via an easily accessible knob. The sowing depth can be precisely adjusted in 0.5 cm increments between 0 and 5 cm using a lever. In addition, the working intensity of the intermediate rubber pressure wheel as well as the closing discs and guide wheels can be adjusted using the lever.

Intelligent control and assistance systems

To ensure precise seed placement at different travel speeds, a radar sensor is installed under the main frame for slip-free speed detection. The tractor speed signal can also be used. Thanks to the new intuitive GRIMME Digital Interface (GDI), operators can quickly navigate the system and have all settings at their fingertips. The standard Clever Planting function maximizes the use of seed and ensures optimal plant distribution in the row.

In addition, the new MATRIX seed placement system ensures that each seed is placed in a triangular formation within the width of the machine, which contributes to optimal crop distribution.
