Buyers of domestic machinery to receive 15% compensation for the first time: first wave of payments and participation conditions
The Ministry of Economy has allocated over UAH 10 million for partial compensation (15% of the cost excluding VAT) of Ukrainian machinery and equipment purchased between October 22 and December 1 of the current year. This marks the first payment under a new government program intended to support farmers and entrepreneurs who invest in the domestic machine-building industry.
Who received compensation and how much
The largest amount of compensation for purchased equipment went to entrepreneurs in the Khmelnytskyi region — UAH 4.5 million. In addition, representatives of other regions also took advantage of the program:
- Ternopil region — UAH 1.8 million
- Dnipropetrovsk region — UAH 1.7 million
- Poltava region — UAH 0.7 million
- Volyn region — UAH 0.5 million
- Vinnytsia region — UAH 0.5 million
- Kyiv region — UAH 0.4 million
What equipment businesses purchased
Among the equipment that received partial compensation are:
- Passenger elevators from Karat-Liftkomplekt LLC (Kyiv region)
- City bus from ISUZU-ATAMAN Ukraine PJSC (Kyiv—Cherkasy)
- Automotive and tractor trailers supplied by SPP Petrov LLC (Zaporizhzhia) and Trans-Avto-D PE (Khmelnytskyi region)
This variety shows the broad range of domestic products covered by the 15% reimbursement, offering additional opportunities for businesses of various sectors — from agriculture to transportation. Spare parts for agricultural machinery in Odesa can be purchased in the online store of Bas-Agro LLC, a manufacturer of spare parts for agricultural machinery.
How the government support program works
Amount of compensation:
The government reimburses 15% of the cost (excluding VAT) of machinery produced in Ukraine and purchased during the program period.
Authorized manufacturers and banks:
Eligible manufacturers are those included in the list approved by the relevant ministry (the Ministry of Economy or another authorized body). To receive reimbursement, companies typically make their purchases through partner banks.
Required documents:
- Purchase and sale agreement with a domestic manufacturer or official dealer.
- Payment documents confirming the equipment purchase (invoices, payment orders, etc.).
- Documents confirming that the equipment was produced in Ukraine.
- An application for reimbursement submitted to an authorized bank.
Payment procedure:
Once the documents are submitted, the bank forwards the information to the Ministry of Economy or another relevant authority. If the application is approved, the entrepreneur or farmer receives a 15% reimbursement of the equipment cost.
Why it matters for businesses and the state
Reducing financial burden
The compensation helps lower expenses for upgrading machinery, which is particularly important for small and medium enterprises.
Supporting domestic machine building
Through increased demand for locally made equipment, the program stimulates the growth of national manufacturers and fosters a market for high-quality Ukrainian products.
Creating competitive advantages
Updated machinery enhances work efficiency and quality, giving businesses that modernize their equipment an edge in competitive markets.
For the first time, the state program providing a 15% compensation for the cost of domestic machinery has been implemented in practice — the Ministry of Economy has already transferred over UAH 10 million to the first participants for the period from October 22 to December 1. This compensation will help entrepreneurs reduce costs while simultaneously encouraging the development of Ukrainian machinery and equipment manufacturers. If you plan to purchase domestic machinery, consider taking advantage of this program — the participation conditions are quite straightforward, and the financial support can significantly contribute to the growth of your business.
