Compensation for agricultural machinery: a unique opportunity to support Ukrainian farmers

The Ukrainian program of compensation for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment has become an important tool to support the domestic agricultural sector. It provides an opportunity to receive up to 25% compensation for the cost of machinery manufactured by Ukrainian enterprises, stimulating the development of the national machine building industry.

The program includes 7,880 items of machinery and equipment from 86 Ukrainian manufacturers. These include tractors, combines, sowing systems, sprayers, grain processing equipment, etc. The list is updated annually based on applications from manufacturers, which allows us to expand the range of available equipment.

Participation procedure

1. Farmers choose equipment from the approved list on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
2. After the purchase, they must submit documents to an authorized bank. Currently, 31 banks participate in the program.
3. Compensation is provided after verification of documents, which simplifies access to support.

Program objective

The main goal is to reduce the financial burden on farmers, increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian agriculture and support domestic production of machinery.

Results and prospects

In 2023, Ukrainian farmers received a record UAH 2.96 billion in compensation. This proves the effectiveness of the program and its importance for supporting agriculture even in the face of economic challenges.

The list of equipment is regularly updated. For example, applications from producers for inclusion in the list for 2024 are accepted until October 31. An important condition for participation is that the equipment meets the standards and is manufactured in Ukraine.
