The XERION 12 tractor series from CLAAS has won three prestigious awards in 2024: "Tractor of the Year 2024, Agricultural Machine of the Year 2024 (in the large tractor category) and AE50 in the United States.
The tractors presented in the summer of 2023 were recognized by experts and manufacturers. First, they received two awards at the Agritechnica exhibition - Tractor of the Year 2024 and Agricultural Machine of the Year 2024. Now this series has also been honored with the AE50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ASABE).
The AE50 Awards program annually recognizes 50 products that stand out for their high level of innovation and technical progress, as well as their impact on the market. The new XERION 12 series was recognized against other machines and technologies from CLAAS, such as the TRION 740, CEMOS for tractors, DISCO 9700 RC AUTO SWATHER, the dual roller drive for the DISCO 3600 FRC, VARIANT SMART DENSITY and the new VARIANT net wrapping system. Johannes Weisbrodt, Senior Vice President of Tractor Systems, expressed his joy at the recognition of the new XERION 12 series. He emphasized the high level of innovation and unique features that make this series productive and efficient.
During six years of development and research, the XERION 12 series has been intensively tested on farms in North America and Europe. Its key innovations include the 2.0 low engine speed concept, the CMATIC continuously variable transmission, speeds of up to 40 km/h for TERRA TRAC and 50 km/h for TRAC, powerful work hydraulics, a spacious cab with four-point suspension and the new TERRA TRAC cushioned track drives.
The XERION 12 series is available in 12.590 and 12.650 models with different configurations for different markets such as TERRA TRAC and TRAC. The main sales regions are North America, Europe, Australia and South America.
These wins will be presented at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference, which will be held from February 11 to 14 in Louisville, Kentucky (USA).
