German agricultural machinery manufacturer Amazone has introduced the new 8-meter-wide Cirrus 8004-2C Grand seeder, which combines high performance, flexibility, and advanced technology for modern farming.

• Product distribution: simultaneous application of three components in a 40:50:10 ratio

Thanks to its triple-chamber hopper, the seeder enables simultaneous sowing of seeds, application of mineral fertilizers, and additional materials like slug pellets, ensuring precise dosing of each component directly into the seed row.

Innovative solutions for precision sowing

The Cirrus 8004-2C Grand features individual row shut-off, allowing for accurate placement without overlaps or gaps — especially useful on wedge-shaped fields. This enhances uniform crop emergence and helps reduce seed and fertilizer waste.

It also offers an optional row spacing adjustment from the standard 16.6 cm to 12.5 cm, ideal for spring sowing and weed-prone conditions. Narrower spacing ensures faster soil coverage by plants, which helps suppress weed growth and reduces herbicide use.

Additional efficiency options

For heavy or cloddy soils, the seeder can be equipped with a front Crushboard and side guide wheels for uniform leveling and prevention of side wing sinking.

An optional onboard hydraulic system with PTO drive allows the seeder to work with tractors that have limited hydraulic capacity. Additionally, the air preheating system raises the air temperature in the pneumatic lines by 8°C, preventing condensation and clumping of seeds or fertilizers during transport.
