Kherson region farmers received machinery from the Harvest of Victory Foundation
Almost 100 farms in Kherson Oblast received free agricultural machinery from the Victory Harvest charitable foundation. During the spring sowing campaign, 41 farms in the region used the equipment, sowing more than 12 thousand hectares of land. During the early harvest, another 57 farms used the new equipment, which allowed them to cultivate 12,800 hectares. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
For the second year in a row, the Harvest of Victory Charitable Foundation has been supporting farmers after the de-occupation of Kherson region. Representatives of the foundation have recently visited many local farms, including those in the frontline areas, where the situation is complicated by constant shelling and abnormal heat. Farmers say that this year they have lost a significant part of their crops due to the high temperatures, and some fields have been burned by enemy air strikes. The equipment provided by tractors, seeders, combines and harvesters is the necessary support to continue their activities. Bas-Agro Group LLC also has the ability to supply spare parts for agricultural machinery to Kherson, an order can be placed on our website with a catalog of agricultural spare parts - bas.ua.
Dmytro Solomchuk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation, noted that farmers in the frontline areas need maximum support.
“They are going through a very difficult path, but thanks to the help of our partners, in particular our friend Howard Buffett, we are trying to speed up the process of restoring the farms of Kherson region. Such visits always demonstrate the real situation and the directions to be taken and what to pay attention to,” emphasized Dmytro Solomchuk.
Currently, the fund's activities are aimed not only at providing equipment for the sowing campaign and harvesting, but also at supporting crop spraying and grain storage. In particular, the foundation provides farmers with mobile storage facilities for storing crops, which is important for farms that have lost their warehouses.
The foundation's charitable programs are announced on its official website and social media. The Victory Harvest Foundation is funded by the Howard Buffett Foundation, an American philanthropist, farmer, and great friend of Ukraine. The fund aims to provide assistance to small and medium-sized farms affected by Russia's full-scale invasion. The Victory Harvest Foundation regularly updates information about its projects on its official website, where you can learn more about its activities, new initiatives, and progress reports. In particular, much attention is paid to supporting farmers in the hottest spots where agriculture suffers the greatest losses.
