Kverneland presents row crop seeders, among which we will consider the Kverneland Optima TFprofi model today. The main advantages of this machine are a large fertilizer hopper with a volume of 2,000 liters, a powerful sowing unit with a 55-liter seed funnel and a dead weight of 130 kg. A spring system can be used to add another 100 kg, resulting in a pressure of over 200 kg on the sowing discs. The sowing unit is electrically driven, controlled from the tractor cab and features Singulo technology with two cut-offs, which allows for precise singulation of even difficult seeds such as oilseed rape or coarse grains.
The disc harrow with open support wheels allows you to work in high humidity conditions. The intermediate packer shaft, which can be taken out of service as required, has a robust V-shaped packer shaft with adjustable pressure in three stages.
The minimum tractor power requirement for full operation is 90 horsepower, but it can be combined with an MTZ-82 tractor if required. In terms of hydraulics, only one pair is required to raise and lower the fan drive.
Control is via a special color touchscreen terminal located in the tractor cab.
The Kverneland Optima TFprofi has a working width of 6 meters (or 5.6 meters). This seed drill offers a unique combination of performance and manufacturability thanks to the e-drive II electric drive of the sowing centers.

The Optima TFprofi frame concept was developed specifically for tractors with 90-100 hp, which are popular in Ukraine. The frame is based on a 180 x 180 mm square tube and can be connected to the tractor via a Ø50 mm eyelet or, of course, the Cat 3 lower links.
Four-wheeled base
A four-wheeled base has been developed especially for rough terrain. When working in the field and on the headlands, the machine moves on all four wheels.
A characteristic feature of the four-wheeled base is the hydraulic bump tracking system: the lifting cylinders on the wheels have two chambers - the upper one is responsible for lifting/lowering the seeder, and the lower chambers are connected in pairs so that oil can flow from one cylinder chamber to another. In this way, the wheels copy bumps of all kinds, which is especially important at a sowing speed of 12 km/h and has a positive effect on the stability of the frame.
Micro-Drill micro granulator
Electrically driven microgranulation system for HD-II and SX sections.
The demand for micro granulation systems is growing every year. Concentrated fertilizers, insecticides or fungicides improve the quality of seedlings and plant health in the early stages of development.
The Micro-Drill is an electrically driven microgranulate application equipment for the Optima HD-II and Optima SX sections, which is installed as a backpack behind the seed funnel on each section of the seeder. The volume of the micro granulate tank is 17 liters.
The Micro-Drill metering units are equipped with an electric drive that is controlled via ISOBUS.

Optima SX speed section
The Optima SX speed section is designed for sowing at speeds of up to 18 km/h, while ensuring precise depth control thanks to the massive design of the section with a dead weight of 130 kg. The support wheels on the open disk allow for clog-free operation in sticky, wet soils. The specially designed coulter together with the flexible coulter wheel create ideal conditions for 100% seed to soil contact.
The sowing unit operates on the principle of overpressure, where the seed is pressed by the air flow to the holes of the sowing disc and the residual air flow is used to transport the seed in a controlled manner through the seed channel from the sowing unit to the bottom of the furrow. The Optima SX sections are equipped with the e-drive II electric drive with ISOBUS control, which allows the seed drill to work with all precision farming systems.
Optima HDII universal section
The Optima HDII multi-purpose section is designed for minimal and conventional tillage, while providing precise sowing depth control thanks to its massive 130 kg tare weight. The support wheels on the open disk allow for clog-free operation in sticky, wet soils. A special furrow shaper is mounted between the coulter discs to ensure precise seed placement without the risk of rolling. The optional intermediate roller in stainless steel or rubber can be conveniently raised for use in moist soils.
The Optima HD-II vacuum seed drill has no O-rings or friction in its design, which guarantees precise seed placement. The HDII vacuum chamber rotates with the sowing disk, which minimizes the load on the electric motor and ensures a constantly stable vacuum in all sections of the seeder. To switch to another crop, you just need to change the disk!
